CLEP Exams at Elmira College

Elmira College is a private liberal arts college in Elmira, New York. It is located in the Southern Tier region of New York State and serves undergraduate students in a traditional residential college setting. The college is known for its small-college environment and close faculty-student interaction.

Elmira College offers undergraduate programs across the liberal arts and sciences, along with professional and pre-professional study options. The college is also known for experiential learning opportunities and a curriculum that supports individualized academic planning. Its academic profile is centered on broad-based undergraduate education rather than large-scale graduate or research activity.

For transfer and credit-by-exam purposes, Elmira College is a private institution that evaluates prior college coursework and other forms of academic credit through its own transfer policies. CLEP and similar exam credit acceptance can vary by subject, score, and degree requirements, so students should confirm applicability with the college before testing. Because policies can change, the most reliable source is Elmira College’s current admissions or registrar guidance.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on EC's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Elmira College transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
