CLEP Credits at Grand View University

Grand View University is a private university in Des Moines, Iowa. It is located on the east side of the city and serves undergraduate and graduate students in a metropolitan setting. The university is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Grand View offers a range of undergraduate majors and graduate programs across liberal arts, professional, and health-related fields. The university is known for combining classroom learning with practical experience, and it supports students through small-campus resources and student services. Specific program offerings can change over time, so prospective students should confirm current majors and degrees on the university website.

For transfer and credit-by-exam planning, Grand View University accepts transfer credit subject to institutional review and published transfer policies. CLEP credit may be available for eligible exams, but applicability depends on the score earned, the course equivalency, and the student’s program requirements. Students should consult Grand View’s transfer credit and testing policies before relying on exam credit for degree planning.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on GVU's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Grand View University transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
