Students often use credit-by-exam and transfer pathways to move coursework into or out of the college, but acceptance depends on the specific exam, score, course equivalency, and program requirements. Prospective students should confirm how CLEP or other prior-learning credit applies to their intended major.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on Ivy Tech Muncie's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Ivy Tech Community College-Muncie transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
