CLEP Exams at Messiah University

Messiah University is a private Christian university in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, in the Harrisburg area of central Pennsylvania. It is affiliated with the Brethren in Christ Church and serves undergraduate and graduate students in a suburban setting. The university emphasizes faith-informed learning and community life.

Messiah offers a broad range of undergraduate majors and graduate programs across the arts, sciences, business, education, health, and professional studies. It is known for combining liberal arts education with professional preparation and experiential learning. The university also has a strong reputation for service, study abroad, and faith-based campus engagement.

Messiah University accepts transfer credit and has policies for evaluating credit earned at other institutions, including credit by examination in some cases. CLEP credit may be considered as part of transfer evaluation if it meets the university's standards and is submitted through the appropriate process. Students should confirm course applicability with the university because credit acceptance can vary by exam, score, and degree program.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on Messiah's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Messiah University transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
