The university is known for online and hybrid delivery, career-oriented programs, and support for students pursuing degrees while balancing other commitments. Specific program availability can vary by location and modality.

National University has a transfer-friendly reputation and accepts a variety of prior learning and transfer credit opportunities, including credit by examination in some cases. For CLEP specifically, students should confirm how exam scores apply to their intended program and degree requirements, since applicability can depend on the subject, score, and academic plan. Policies may differ by program and are subject to university review.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on National University - Nellis AFB's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. National University - Nellis AFB transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
