CLEP Credits at Rasmussen College (Online)

Rasmussen College - Online is the online division of Rasmussen University, a private institution headquartered in Minnesota and serving students through distance education. It is associated with Rasmussen University’s broader network of campuses and online offerings. The online campus is designed for students who want flexible access to coursework without attending a traditional residential campus.

Rasmussen University offers career-focused programs in fields such as business, nursing, health sciences, technology, education, and public service. Its online format is intended to support working adults and other students seeking flexible scheduling. Program availability can vary by level and location, so prospective students should confirm current offerings directly with the university.

For CLEP and transfer credit purposes, Rasmussen University has policies that may allow students to bring in prior learning or transfer coursework, but acceptance depends on the specific course, program, and institutional review. CLEP credit is not universally guaranteed and is typically subject to the university’s current transfer-credit rules. Students should consult Rasmussen’s official transfer and credit-by-exam policies before relying on outside credit.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on Rasmussen College - Online's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Rasmussen College - Online transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
