CLEP Credits at Saint Michael's College

Saint Michael's College is a private Catholic liberal arts college in Colchester, Vermont, near Burlington. It is located in northwestern Vermont and serves undergraduate students in a residential campus setting.

The college offers a liberal arts curriculum with undergraduate majors and pre-professional preparation across a range of disciplines. It is known for its Catholic identity, small-college environment, and emphasis on close faculty-student interaction and experiential learning.

For transfer and credit-by-exam questions, Saint Michael's College should be treated as a college that evaluates outside credit through its own academic policies rather than as a school with a universal CLEP guarantee. Students should confirm in advance whether CLEP, AP, IB, or transfer coursework will apply to their intended program, since acceptance can depend on the subject area and departmental review.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on SMC's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Saint Michael's College transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
