CLEP Credits at Slippery Rock University

Slippery Rock University is a public university in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, in the northwestern part of the state. It is part of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. The university serves undergraduate and graduate students on its main campus and through online and other flexible learning options.

The university offers a broad range of academic programs across arts and sciences, business, education, health, and other professional fields. It is known for teacher preparation, health-related programs, and applied learning opportunities that connect coursework with practical experience. Students can pursue both traditional campus-based study and online coursework in selected areas.

For CLEP and transfer credit, Slippery Rock University generally evaluates prior college-level learning through its admissions and academic records processes. Credit-by-exam and transfer credit decisions are typically based on official score reports, course equivalencies, and university policies in effect at the time of review. Students should confirm how specific exams or prior coursework will apply to their intended major before relying on transfer credit.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on SRU's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Slippery Rock University transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
