CLEP Credits at Touro University Worldwide

Touro University Worldwide is a private university based in Los Alamitos, California, and it operates primarily as an online institution. It is part of the Touro University System, which is affiliated with Touro College and University System. The university serves adult and working learners through distance education.

The university offers undergraduate and graduate programs in areas such as business, psychology, education, health sciences, and related professional fields. Its academic model is designed for flexible online study, with programs intended to support students balancing school with work and family responsibilities. As an online institution, it emphasizes accessible scheduling and career-oriented coursework.

For CLEP and transfer-credit purposes, Touro University Worldwide is generally the kind of institution that may evaluate prior learning and transfer coursework, but acceptance depends on the specific program and registrar review. CLEP credit is not automatically guaranteed at every school or for every major, so students should confirm current policy directly with the university before relying on exam credit. The safest approach is to verify how any CLEP score would apply to the intended degree plan.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on TUW's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Touro University Worldwide transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
