CLEP Exams at UMGC Europe (Wiesbaden)

UMGC Europe - Wiesbaden is a University of Maryland Global Campus location serving students in and around Wiesbaden, Germany. It is part of UMGC’s overseas European network rather than a separate independent college. The campus primarily supports military-affiliated and adult learners who need flexible access to higher education while stationed abroad.

As part of UMGC, the school offers undergraduate and graduate study in career-oriented fields through the university’s broader online and hybrid academic model. UMGC is known for serving working adults, military students, and transfer students with flexible scheduling and multiple entry points. Program availability at the Wiesbaden location may vary, but students typically pursue the same UMGC degree pathways available across the university.

UMGC is generally transfer-friendly and accepts a range of prior learning and credit-by-exam options, including CLEP where applicable under university policy. Students at overseas locations often use these options to accelerate progress toward degree completion or to satisfy general education requirements. Exact applicability depends on the student’s program, course equivalencies, and current UMGC transfer rules.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on UMGC's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. UMGC Europe - Wiesbaden transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
