The University of Northern Colorado is a public university in Greeley, Colorado. It serves students on a main campus in Greeley and also offers programs through its extended and online learning options. The university is part of Colorado's public higher education system.

UNC offers a broad range of undergraduate and graduate programs across colleges in areas such as education, business, health and human sciences, performing and visual arts, natural and physical sciences, and humanities and social sciences. It is especially well known for teacher education and for programs in health-related fields. The university also supports research, clinical, and experiential learning opportunities.

For CLEP and transfer credit, UNC has policies that allow students to bring in prior college-level learning, but acceptance depends on the specific exam, course, score, and degree requirements. Students should review UNC's current transfer and credit-by-exam guidelines before relying on any outside credit. In practice, CLEP and transfer credit are evaluated within the university's academic policies rather than applied automatically to every program.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on UNC's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. University of Northern Colorado transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
