For CLEP and transfer-credit purposes, York College should be treated as a school that evaluates prior learning through its own academic policies rather than by assumption. Students seeking CLEP credit or transfer credit should confirm in advance whether a specific exam or course will apply to their intended program. Credit acceptance can depend on the subject, score, degree requirements, and residency rules.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on York College - Nebraska's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. York College - Nebraska transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
