CLEP Exams at Charleston Southern University

Charleston Southern University is a private Christian university in Charleston, South Carolina. It is affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention and serves students in the Charleston area and beyond. The university offers undergraduate and graduate study in a suburban setting.

Charleston Southern offers a range of academic programs across the arts and sciences, business, education, nursing, and other professional fields. The university is known for combining faith-based education with career-oriented study and experiential learning. Specific program availability can change, so students should confirm current offerings with the university.

For CLEP and transfer credit, Charleston Southern University evaluates prior learning through its academic policies rather than granting automatic credit for every exam or course. CLEP credit, transfer coursework, and other forms of prior learning are typically subject to institutional review, score thresholds, and degree applicability. Students should check the university's current transfer and credit-by-exam policies before relying on outside credit.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on CSU's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Charleston Southern University transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
