Eastern Oregon University is a public university in La Grande, Oregon, serving students in eastern Oregon and beyond. Its main campus is in La Grande, and the university also offers online and regional learning options. It is part of Oregon's public higher education system.

EOU offers undergraduate and graduate study across a range of fields, with programs in areas such as business, education, liberal arts, health-related fields, and the sciences. The university is known for serving place-bound and transfer students, and it emphasizes access, flexibility, and applied learning. Students can pursue both on-campus and online coursework.

For CLEP and transfer credit purposes, Eastern Oregon University is a public university that evaluates prior learning through established academic policies. Students who have taken CLEP exams or coursework at other institutions should expect credit decisions to depend on the university's official transfer and exam-credit rules. The exact applicability of CLEP credit can vary by exam, score, and degree program.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on EOU's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Eastern Oregon University transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
