CLEP Credits at Morehead State University

Morehead State University is a public university in Morehead, Kentucky, in the foothills of eastern Kentucky. It serves students from the region and beyond with a traditional residential campus and a broad mix of undergraduate and graduate study options. The university is known for combining classroom learning with applied and experiential opportunities.

The university offers a wide range of academic programs across multiple colleges and schools, including liberal arts, business, education, health, science, and technology fields. It is especially recognized for programs connected to space science and for professional preparation in areas such as teacher education and health-related disciplines. Students can pursue both undergraduate majors and graduate degrees.

For CLEP and transfer credit purposes, Morehead State University is a public institution that evaluates prior learning through established academic policies rather than automatic blanket acceptance. Students who have taken CLEP exams or coursework elsewhere should expect credit decisions to depend on the specific exam, score, course equivalency, and degree program. The university’s transfer-credit practices are designed to help students bring in approved academic work toward their degree requirements.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on MSU's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Morehead State University transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
