CLEP Credits at National University (Marine Corps Recruit Depot)

National University is a private nonprofit university based in San Diego, California, with an instructional site at Marine Corps Recruit Depot. It serves adult learners, military-affiliated students, and other students seeking flexible higher education options. The university operates multiple locations and online programs in addition to its San Diego presence.

National University offers undergraduate and graduate study across a broad range of fields, including business, education, health professions, and technology-related areas. It is known for flexible scheduling and programs designed for working adults and service members. Because it serves a large adult and military population, transfer pathways and prior learning options are an important part of its academic model.

For CLEP and transfer credit purposes, National University is generally considered a transfer-friendly institution, but credit acceptance depends on the specific exam, score, course equivalency, and program requirements. Students should expect that not every CLEP exam or transfer course will apply in the same way across all majors. The most reliable approach is to review the university's current transfer credit policies and course equivalency guidance before enrolling.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on NU's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. National University - Marine Corps Recruit Depot transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
