CLEP Credits at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota

Saint Mary's University of Minnesota is a private Catholic university with its main campus in Winona, Minnesota. It also serves students through additional locations and online programs. The university is affiliated with the De La Salle Christian Brothers tradition.

The university offers undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs across a range of fields. It is known for programs in education, business, health and human services, and liberal arts, along with flexible formats for adult and online learners. Saint Mary's also emphasizes values-based education rooted in its Catholic and Lasallian mission.

For CLEP and transfer-credit purposes, Saint Mary's University of Minnesota is a transfer-friendly institution in the sense that it evaluates prior learning and outside coursework through its own academic policies. Students seeking CLEP credit should confirm in advance whether a specific exam is accepted and how it applies to their intended program. Policies can vary by department, degree level, and campus or delivery format.

Students may also have options involving CLEP®, DSST, AP, ACE, or NCCRS credits, depending on SMUMN's current policies. Not every alternative credit source is automatically accepted, so verify eligibility before completing a course or exam.

Approved credits may count toward general education, major requirements, electives, or other degree requirements depending on the evaluation. Saint Mary's University of Minnesota transfer credits should therefore be reviewed against the specific degree program.
